CCTV News:On the 21st, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded Captain yusupov and co-pilot Murzin the Medal of "Russian Hero" in the Kremlin for "landing a cornfield on the outskirts of Moscow in August this year and saving more than 200 lives". Putin said at the awarding ceremony that yusupov and Murzin "responded professionally, clearly and smoothly in times of crisis" and "showed extraordinary courage".


On August 15th this year, a Russian Ural Airlines flight carried by A321 passenger plane took off from Moscow zhukovsky Airport and flew to Simferopol, Crimea. Shortly after takeoff, the passenger plane collided with a flock of seagulls, causing damage to two engines. Captain yusupov decided to make a forced landing in a cornfield by flying a passenger plane, and it was successful. At the time of the incident, there were 226 passengers and seven crew members on board.
