This is a great victory achieved by the long-term struggle of the whole party, the whole army and the people of all ethnic groups throughout the country. Hua Guofeng, Ye Jianying and Li Xiannian played an important role in the struggle to crush Jiang Qing’s counter-revolutionary clique. The crushing of Jiang Qing’s counter-revolutionary clique realized the common will of the Party and the people, saved the Party, the country and the socialist cause in China from the crisis, and created the premise for realizing the great turning point of the Party’s history.

　　　　　　　　Jiang Qing and others pushed the "Left" mistakes to extremes in the "Cultural Revolution" and committed countless crimes. From November 1980 to January 1981, Lin Biao and Jiang Qing, two counter-revolutionary groups that caused disasters to our country and nation during the "Cultural Revolution", were prosecuted by the the Supreme People’s Procuratorate Special Prosecutor’s Office and tried in public by the the Supreme People’s Court Special Court. 　　An official of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, who asked not to be named, told Xinhua that hundreds of people gathered in Carani Square and Tahrir Square in Baghdad that day, demanding to promote reform, eliminate corruption and improve public services. There were sporadic clashes between demonstrators and riot police, resulting in 15 injuries.

　　It is reported that demonstrations and protests also took place in Basra, Missan, Wasit, Qadisiyah and Karbala provinces in Iraq on the 28th. Demonstrators also asked political parties to nominate a new prime minister candidate acceptable to all parties as soon as possible and asked the parliament to agree to hold elections in advance.

　　Since October 2019, demonstrations and protests have broken out in many places in Iraq to protest against government corruption, poor service and high unemployment rate. Demonstrators also targeted the political elite and demanded the reform of the sectarian decentralization system implemented after the Iraq war in 2003. On December 1, 2019, the Iraqi National Assembly approved the resignation of Prime Minister Abdul Mahdi, but the nomination of the new prime minister has been difficult to produce. Since mid-January this year, demonstrations and protests have continued in many places in Iraq.
