It will take effect on January 1, 2024.
According to the Law on Patriotism Education, on the National Day of People’s Republic of China (PRC) on October 1st every year, the state and all sectors of society hold various forms of celebration activities to focus on patriotism education.
Network is an important carrier of patriotism education. The Patriotism Education Law clarifies the responsibility and obligation of network information service providers to strengthen patriotism education.
Schools are an important position to strengthen patriotism education. The Law on Patriotism Education stipulates that schools at all levels and of all types should carry out patriotism education throughout the whole process of school education, and run and teach ideological and political theory courses well.
The Patriotism Education Law clearly stipulates the use of red resources, cultural relics, patriotic education bases and various cultural venues to carry out patriotism education.
The newly revised Marine Environmental Protection Law
Implemented on January 1, 2024.
There are many institutional innovations and practical measures in this revision, such as:
Compaction of government responsibility, implementation of marine environmental protection target responsibility system and evaluation system;
Highlight the overall planning of land and sea, and unify the marine environmental protection requirements of coastal engineering and marine engineering construction projects;
Strengthen the management of rivers entering the sea and jointly promote the prevention and control of pollution in rivers entering the sea;
Pay attention to comprehensive management, and jointly promote the management of key sea areas and the construction of beautiful bays;
Further refine the pollutant discharge permit system;

The Civil Procedure Law has been revised.
It will take effect on January 1, 2024.
The revision of the Civil Procedure Law focuses on improving the foreign-related civil procedure system, which is conducive to further improving the trial quality and effectiveness of foreign-related civil cases, better safeguarding the litigation rights and legitimate rights and interests of the parties, and better safeguarding China’s sovereignty, security and development interests.
At the same time, the revision of the law also actively responded to social concerns and revised and improved other related issues in the field of civil litigation.
The newly revised Administrative Reconsideration Law
It will take effect on January 1, 2024.
This revision of the Administrative Reconsideration Law clarifies the principles, responsibilities and guarantees of administrative reconsideration, improves the relevant provisions on the scope of administrative reconsideration, increases the convenience measures for administrative reconsideration applications, strengthens the ability of administrative reconsideration to absorb and resolve administrative disputes, improves the acceptance and trial procedures of administrative reconsideration, and strengthens the supervision of administrative reconsideration on administrative law enforcement.
Regulations on Network Protection of Minors
Implemented on January 1, 2024.
Four legislative highlights:

3. Promote judicial protection of minors’ rights and interests;

Measures of Beijing Municipality on Implementing the Anti-Terrorism Law of People’s Republic of China (PRC).
It will take effect on January 1, 2024.
The main contents of the "Implementation Measures" include:
1. Improve the legislative purpose and working principles;
2. Clarify the division of responsibilities and working mechanism;
3. Highlight the institutional measures to strengthen security;
4. Improve the intelligence information work and response and disposal mechanism.
Safety Regulations for Limited Space Operation in Industry and Trade Enterprises
It will take effect on January 1, 2024.
Industry and trade enterprises should make clear the examination and approval requirements according to the safety risk of limited space operation.
For limited space operations with risks of poisoning and suffocation such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, etc., it shall be examined and approved by the principal responsible person of the industrial and trade enterprise or the personnel entrusted by him in writing. If the examination and approval is entrusted, the relevant responsibilities shall still be borne by the principal responsible person of the industrial and trade enterprise.
No confined space operation shall be carried out without the approval of the operation approver determined by the industrial and trade enterprise.

Military service registration begins.

On January 1, 2024, the on-site registration of the fifth national economic census will be fully launched.
