Yunqi preview system can respond quickly by identifying structured road surface and obstacles in front through lidar and binocular camera on the roof, and adjusting damping in linkage. It can output the road surface features and elevation curves within the range of 5-150m in front of the vehicle, and the recognition accuracy is 3 mm, and the recognition accuracy within 15m is over 99%. Of course, the technology is currently in the debugging stage, or it will be pushed and upgraded to users through OTA later. At present, only BYD is involved in this technology.
Now the staff also demonstrated the practical application of the cloud-and-chariot preview system to us. After U8 recognizes the obstacle (log) at the center of gravity in the process of moving forward, the car body will slowly lift adaptively to increase the chassis passability, and the height of the car body will gradually return to the original height after passing.
