People’s Daily, Beijing, February 2 (Reporter Ding Yiting) The China Electric Power Enterprise Federation recently released "2021— According to the analysis and forecast report of the national power supply and demand situation in 2022, in 2021, the electricity consumption of China’s high-tech and equipment manufacturing industry increased by 15.7% year-on-year, and the growth rate remained ahead in the manufacturing industry. Among them, the electricity consumption of some emerging manufacturing industries increased rapidly, and the electricity consumption of medical instruments and equipment manufacturing, wind energy prime mover manufacturing, new energy vehicle manufacturing, photovoltaic equipment and components manufacturing increased by 24.9%, 25.4%, 46.8% and 91.3% respectively, reflecting the continuous transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.
In terms of power production and supply, the development trend of green and low carbon is prominent. From the cumulative installed capacity, by the end of 2021, the installed capacity of full-caliber non-fossil energy power generation will reach 1.12 billion kilowatts and coal-fired power generation will reach 1.11 billion kilowatts, accounting for 47% and 46.7% of the total installed capacity, respectively. This is the first time that the installed capacity of full-caliber non-fossil energy power generation has exceeded that of coal-fired power generation.
